PTS Wins Community Association Award

The Granada Health Science Technological Park (PTS) has been awarded the 2016 'Silver Sparrow' award by the community association of local neighbourhood Zaidín-Vergeles. The prize, in recognition of the Park's research and development work in the field of life sciences, was collected by the managing director of the PTS Foundation, Jesús Quero.

The prize-giving took place in the open-air auditorium of Zaidín's Civic Centre after the opening of the district's annual fiestas. The award was presented to Jesús Quero by the president of the community association, Antonio Ruiz Molina.

Jesús Quero thanked the community association on behalf of the PTS Foundation, which he reminded the audience is formed by various government, financial and educational bodies. Mr Quero went on to say that the PTS is an "effective tool" that is driving the provincial economy and putting Granada at the forefront of the biotechnology sector.

Finally, Mr Quero highlighted the good neighbourly relationship the Park maintains with the Zaidín district. In Mr Quero's words, "from the outset, and for many years now, the district has welcomed the PTS with enthusiasm and great interest, collaborating closely so that the Park could work as efficiently as possible".
